Book review of Keigo Higashino's "Silent Parade". Even with sufficient circumstantial evidence, a suspect cannot be convicted if he refuses to confess, unless there is conclusive evidence. Bereaved families and companions who are not convinced plan their own revenge. I will also explain the case that became the model of the novel.
